I started this when I lived in Brooklyn and struggled for grace in a city that grants moments of beauty and ugliness breathtakingly close to one another. Now I live in a place where things are a different kind of ugly and the beauty is pedestrian. I struggle with that.

thanks! I have been trying to post photos for a few days, and it is just not working. grrr.
r-m, the struggle for grace is something I am painfully aware of, certainly in myself, and I wouldn't wish it on anyone, but to be aware of it is most surely better than to not be.
